There are over fifty restaurants to choose from in Centreville and the surrounding areas so if you are visiting the town and planning on dining out then you will not be short of choice whatever your personal tastes or preferences. From traditional American fare like steak, ribs and burgers to more exotic Asian cuisines such as Thai, Korean and Japanese, there are a multitude of venues to choose to suit all preferences and budgets. Many also offer a takeout service so you can even order in advance and take back to your hotel if you are feeling tired after a busy day and this includes Bon Chon Chicken conveniently situated in the heart of town in North Centreville Square, which I am reliably informed does the best wings in the region! This Korean restaurant is well known in the area and is popular with both locals and visitors alike as it offers delicious mouthwatering dishes at a very reasonable price. These include their renowned Korean Fried Chicken which you can order in a variety of different sized dishes however one of the most commonly requested is the 20 piece wing option which comes in two different flavors with half marinated in soy sauce and the other in the restaurant s unique spicy recipe served with spicy fries or friend rice and Kim Chee Coleslaw. The pickled turnip also comes highly recommended and is the perfect palette cleaner to accompany with platter of wings, washed down with the house Blue Moon Beer. Despite the fact that this restaurant is always busy, it is exceptionally clean and the food is served promptly by the attentive and excellent waiting staff.
The Sweetwater Tavern is another very popular restaurant that has been established for over 15 years and is deemed to be one of the best steak houses in the area, with the average meal costing between $20 and $35 a head. It is ideal for families with children too for lunch or dinner and diners can choose from a selection of meat dishes like ribs, steaks and cheeseburgers as well as fish dishes such as fresh tuna steak, the halibut special or the short smoked salmon, grilled and accompanied by French fries, traditional mashed potatoes, fresh vegetables and salad. The tavern also has its own bakery so each dish is also served with warm mini rolls served straight from the oven and not surprisingly there are also a good selection of homemade cakes and deserts available too.
For those who love Italian food you will find no shortage of options here either including Carrabba s Italian Grill on 5805 Trinity Parkway a popular favorite with many families, that will set you back between $15 and $25 per person and this also does Takeout. Pizza lovers may enjoy dining at Ciro’s New York Pizza house on Centreville Crest Lane while the Matsu Japanese Restaurant on Stone Road is a must for those who enjoy sushi for around $10 – $15 each. The Indian Ocean is also on the same road as Matsu and it has an extensive range of excellent cuisine from India while the Siam Village, on North Centreville Square close to Bon Chon Chicken, has an excellent selection of Thai food on offer.
